Uncover the wild beauty of West Dorset at this postcard-pretty idyll, set within twenty acres of bucolic countryside and farmlands on an intimate holiday cottage estate. Blaze a trail along the Jurassic Coast and discover sweeping golden beaches, grand historic houses, cobblestone market towns, and charming country pubs, all just a short drive away. Back home, the family owners of the farm have lovingly restored these former farm dwellings into a collection of nine holiday cottages oozing country charm. But the impressive on-site facilities with something for everyone, young and old, is the clincher for us. Enjoy a pootle on the pond with the rowing boats and bid the resident ducks a good day. Amble through the surrounding woodlands and meadows. Or up the ante with a round of tennis on the shared court. Meanwhile, kids (and big kids) will love the shared playground and trampoline, and there’s a games room and a skittle alley, too, if the weather misbehaves. When tummies start to rumble, swing by the on-site farm shop stocked with fresh local produce to pick up supplies. Then get together for an evening barbecue on your private, west-facing terrace with views of the valleys and drink up that evening sun.
