This beautiful hideaway provides a truly tranquil setting, a transformed detached old stone potato barn, adjacent to your host s 16th Century farmhouse. The property has been created to provide a private, stylish and peaceful country escape, with clean and neutral colours, for a wonderful relaxing getaway yet close to the quaint village of Burrington. A short drive leads you to Barnstaple where you can while away an hour or two looking around the local shops or, enjoy lunch in one of the many cafes or restaurants; from here you can hire bikes and take a day out along the Tarka Trail cycle path. If you prefer the beach life, then visit the many beautiful beaches along the North Devon Coastline famed for great surfing and rock pooling. Sitting between the national parks of Exmoor and Dartmoor, you can enjoy the drama of the wild and rugged landscapes, stargazing and the stunning wildlife. There is a variety of entertainment, you will be spoilt for choice. Upon entering the accommodation, you will find the well equipped kitchen with electric oven and induction hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, Nespresso coffee machine and washing machine. This leads through to the open plan sitting room/dining room, where you can curl up on the sofas by the wood burner and choose a film on the Smart TV. The dining area has a table and chairs set for four guests. A door takes you from the sitting area to the enclosed private garden. Upstairs, the charm and character continue with exposed beams throughout and spectacular views of the valley from the landing. Off the landing is a master double bedroom with Smart TV. In the second bedroom, you will find a raised platform with three single beds. On this floor you will also find the modern shower room with shower and WC. Make the most of the enclosed private garden, that is a pure sun trap during the day, a place to enjoy unspoilt skies in the evening, along with alfresco dining and BBQ. There is off road parking for one car only at the front of the property.
