I actually wanted to go in July but couldn't even get there because Sykes or the owners were so inflexible. I have long term health conditions and need to sleep about 4 pm. Most reasonable holiday letters will offer flexibility eg 'sure, no problem'. Same with time for vacating. 10 am is a bit early for me but 9.30 am is ridiculous and unheard of. Most reasonable people give you and extra hour. This is where hotels and guest houses are streets ahead but even air B n B's offer flexibility. I've no idea whether it's the owner or Sykes fault but there certainly not catering for holiday makers individual needs and ergo don't deserve your money

We greatly appreciated this 1 bedroom but spacious apartment. It is in the old town so convenient for beaches and shops. The whole apartment is IKEA furnished and so is quite modern and stylish. We experienced it when it had only just been finished. Three large windows makes the open plan living area very light and airy. Pictures on the walls and coat hooks would be nice. The kitchen is well equipped. The bed is king size. There’s a big Smart TV. The Oystercatcher cafe is only 50 yards away and is really excellent. We enjoyed watching the demolition work over the road. They will be building a Premier Inn (used to be a petrol station then a carpark). There’s no shaver socket in the bathroom so bring an adapter. We got a £26 weekly parking permit using RingGo which allows you to park in most of the local car parks (not the onroad parking). You still have to move the car though, as there are limits to how long you can stay (eg 4 hours over the road from the apartment, 48 hours down by the beach). We didn’t discover any free parking in Teignmouth. It was fairly busy, even in late October. We can recommend the ferry over the estuary to the London Inn.
