Area
A lovely beach community located on the southern coast. Dawlish has all the necessities for daily living, including a nice selection of stores, eateries, and cafés, as well as a small movie theatre. Black Swans that coexist with other wildfowl in Dawlish are renowned. In the summer, the water that flows past the main town park and out to sea is gorgeously illuminated at night by coloured light strings. Dawlish is the ideal location for a family trip because it has a fantastic, sandy beach and a crazy golf course close by. Dawlish Warren is located up the coast and is accessible by vehicle, train, or, for the more active, a stroll along the sea wall. Dawlish mainline station provides access to Exeter, Exmouth, Torquay, Paignton, or even Plymouth further away. Trains are frequent there.
