20 Customer Reviews

  • "Beautiful and comfortable cottage with one of the best equipped kitchens and properties we have stayed in for some time."

Beds all comfortable and duvet thicknesses fine but the duvet on the double bed on the ground floor could be wider. Central heating and hot water excellent, including water pressures, along with fully working towel rails for drying out towels. Starter pack for wood-burning stove only lasted one night so new stock essential when evenings are chilly. Access a bit of an issue due to lack of passing places along the farm track and reversing expertise essential. All in all, an excellent family holiday despite somewhat iffy Devon wevver and temperatures.

Hi Martin Thank you for your positive feedback. I am glad you enjoyed your time at the barn. The firewood is only supposed to be for one night, although a bag of logs should have been there, which generally last longer. Regarding the access track, this has always been an issue. Our local farmer looked into purchasing a little of the neighbouring fields in order to put more passing places. Unfortunately, the cost was prohibitive, so we have to make do, and yes! it is imperative to know how to reverse. That is the case in general when visiting Devon. Regards Fiona Property Owner
