Sitting on the edge of the East Devon Area of Oustanding Natural Beauty, the quaint town of Sidmouth is one of the county's most picturesque spots for a seaside getaway, in part down to cottages such as this one. The recently renovated home is as cute as a button from the outside and the interior doesn't disappoint, either. The stark white walls and wooden floors are a classic combo and make for a blank canvas against which the blue furnishings and house plants can pop off. The sleek surfaces in the kitchen borrow from minimalist trends and there's a pleasing amount of space for whipping up hearty feasts. In the local area, Sidmouth Beach takes about ten minutes to reach on foot and sits on the South West Coast Path in case you fancy a longer ramble in either direction. Elsewhere in the town, you'll find seafront cafes and restaurants, as well as a pair of museums and a theatre.
