"Sofas were not the most comfortable and the bedroom needs freshening up as mould is appearing near the ceiling and in the wardrobe."
Great location and generally very happy apart from the above. Would return.
-
"We had a lovely stay in the cottage with great views from the bedroom and front room window."
Well equipped kitchen and nice corner dinning area. Lovely shower and heating was really cosy on rainy days. The tv with free view was a good reception Loved the lighting and little lamps made a comfortable stay The digital radio was a nice touch, however we could ot get it to work
-

We have stayed here several times over the last few years and love it, in the past we have commented on the damp but obviously this has been sorted out and the whole place is now perfect hence 10/10

"Apartment was great and an in a fab location."
The directions for rubbish and recycling could be clearer and the bedding was albeit clean marked and would benefit the use of new ones

"4 The Elms is a well equipped flat with great views."
The parking space is very useful to have. Would definitely stay at 4 The Elms again. Salcombe as always a nice place to stay.
-
"What a lovely stay we had in 4 The Elms, could not fault it."
Comfortable, warm, great views and parking. A short 5 minute walk to Fore Street and not too much of a pull back. We didn't realise until day three that we could access all the different tv apps which meant we could catch up on the Coronation celebrations that we missed while we were out. Would be good to have some information available. We will definitely be back to stay in this property
-
"We had a lovely stay."
The flat was ideal for two, parking was easy and we really enjoyed the winter views.
-
"Lovely little property, in very good location."
Operation of the grill was a little tricky, but otherwise everything we needed in good working order. Would be much, much better if the owners would invest in a key safe, rather than having to pick it up from Coast and Country Office, which is very awkward to drive to ?
-
"Lovely appartment located close to the centre of town even though it is a steep climb up and down."
The views from the living room and bedroom and stunning. Spotlessly clean and very well equipped, the shower was brilliant and the bed very comfortable. Would definitely recommend.
-
"The Elms was ideally situated with a fabulous view of the river but although the apartment had everything needed it was a little tired and in need of a lick of paint."
Good shower and comfortable enough without being anything special. Salcombe was lovely and we will return. On the whole decent value for what we paid.

"I would like to have read about the induction hob before booking this property as I have a pacemaker and have been advised not to get near induction hobs."
Sadly we found the sofas very uncomfortable. Great bathroom and kitchen. Front door lock a bit tricky.

"Oddity about where to put rubbish."
In Somerset we separate everything inc.food.so I ended up taking some plastic and cans back home with me.
-
"This was a lovely little apartment which was clean and comfortable."
The kitchen was well appointed with everything needed and the bathroom was tidy with a great shower! 4 The Elms is in a smashing location and was perfect for our stay. The parking spaces were very small and it must be difficult to get into or out of your vehicle if all of the spaces are in use - would recommend using a small vehicle if you can.
-
"We stayed at 4 The Elms two years ago, the newly fitted shower room and upgraded kitchen are good additions."
It's a comfortable and homely little apartment with a great central location and the big bonus of parking right at the door.
-
"The pillows were very flat and old."
-
"I stay regularly at this apartment."
It’s neat, cosy and well fitted out with lovely views. Perfect location for the town and facilities plus parking which is a bonus especially in busy times.
Thank you for your feedback. We were really pleased to read that you enjoyed your latest visit to Salcombe and that 4 The Elms was accommodating for your stay. We look forward to welcoming you back soon! Property Owner

"Very cozy well located apartment."

"For the duration of our stay we moved the table to in front of the picture window and used the two collapsible chairs stored in the bedroom cupboard."
In the position behind the door the table is difficult to use and the bench seats/storage units are very uncomfortable. Road noise is ever present but tolerable during the day with the windows open. Eating out in the evening in Salcombe was almost impossible for the duration of our stay, with most, if not all, establishments short staffed, offering a limited service and cancelling bookings at short notice. Making a booking in the first place was almost impossible. We managed one meal out in the fortnight. It seemed to us that most people were eating takeaway pizzas or fish and chips for their evening meal. On a positive note the estuary and beaches were as beautiful and clean as ever.
Thank you very much for leaving us your feedback. We have passed on your comments concerning the property layout to the owner but are pleased you managed to decipher a way to make the property comfortable for your party. We can only apologise for the low - level noise disruption during your stay. With the property being in the center of Salcombe and your booking being in the middle of the summer; Salcombe proves a popular holiday destination and therefore daytime noise is expected. We are sorry for the difficulties you experienced with booking evening restaurants. Unfortunately, Devon experienced high levels of covid cases within the hospitality industry this summer and consequently the pubs and restaurants did not have the capacity to accommodate. We can only apologise for these issues and hope that you were still able to enjoy your visit down to Salcombe and its stunning scenery. Property Owner

"Always enjoy staying at this property, perfect place and location"
-
"Salcombe is a great place to relax and a great place to holiday"
-
"A beautiful, well equipped flat in an excellent location."
We loved it! I just marked down the cleanliness in relation to the bedroom as there was mould on the external wall. A wipe with bleach would have removed it at least until the problem could be resolved. I understand the flat may have been unused for a while which would undoubtedly have contributed to the damp problem. Would return!
Thank you for taking the time to leave us your comments. We were delighted to read that you thoroughly enjoyed your visit to Salcombe. Thank you for you comments regarding the cleanliness of the bedroom – we have passed this onto the housekeeping team to address on their next visit. We look forward to welcoming you back soon! "Always lovely to stay at 4 The Elms, especially with the recent renovations, much improved, now even better."
-
"All was ok , lovely view's from the lounge, would only say that make sure the shower waste is cleaned out regularly as it wasn't and my husband had to do it, and you need to update your pictures as the bathroom was lovely,we both enjoyed our time together at this property."
-
"We thought this was a lovely, homely flat in a great location and hope to return."
Instructions were clear, everything you could want was there, it was clean, attractively furnished and cosy. Excellent having a private parking space right at the door. A small suggestion (not for publication) - the flex for the hairdrier is quite short, the plug is behind the dressing table and as you have to sit on the end of the bed to use it, it’s a rather awkward stretch. A small stool tucked under the dressing table, or longer flex to the hairdryer, would make all the difference.

"Service from Coast and Country Cottages was first class."
The apartment (4, The Elms, Salcombe) is in a great location with great views, but parts of the living accommodation are getting tired. For a short winter break, it was fine, but we would not stay there again unless we knew that the bathroom had been renovated.
Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay at 4 The Elms. We were very pleased to hear the service from our team was first class, as we do try to ensure we give this to each guest. In regards to the bathroom we are pleased to say that the owners are having the bathroom refurbished in March and we will update the website with new photos once this is completed. We want to thank you again for your comments and hope to welcome you back to Salcombe in the future. Property Owner

"This was the perfect base to explore Salcombe!"
. 4 The Elms is a clean and tidy apartment with a great view and private parking space, just a few minutes walk from the centre of the town. We also received a friendly welcome when collecting keys from the knowledgeable staff in the local office. Thank you.

"Possibly point out shower in bath."
Next holiday we will need walk in shower. Chairs in sitting room are not very comfortable haven't been changed in all the years we've been at This accommodation. However the facilities are good and on site parking helps with short walk into centre. Comfortable bed. Ideal for a couple. Thank you.

"More than satisfied with my stay at this holiday cottage, there was just the two of us staying and had everything we needed, in a perfect location and has a lovely view."
Would definitely recommend and would stay again.
