The house is well situated, in a lovely quiet spot, pretty village and delightful area.. There are steep steps to get up to the front door, which might be tricky for some. Good directions to the parking area, for which we were grateful.
Beautiful views from front of the house, and lovely walks nearby. Most rooms well furnished and comfortable; the third bedroom has less storage facilities than the others, and no mirror or dressing table. The other bedrooms are very good, clean, with excellent en-suites.
The kitchen is well stocked, with good quality kitchen wear, everything one could need.
Sadly, the mobile telephone signal is appalling and it was rare that we could communicate with family, from within the cottage. There is a landline, to which we needed to resort and the honesty box is a nice idea.
The cottage was booked, quite clearly for 3 people, and a confirmation email sent to this effect, however, there were only sufficient towels for 2 people. We did contact the owner/caretaker on the number provided who rectified this omission immediately.
The Devonshire cream tea supplied as a complimentary welcome gift was also only for 2 people.
