From here, take a boat journey to magnificent Lundy Island, a destination of natural beauty that will give you a memorable experience, or go on a wildlife cruise, fishing expedition, or boat tour. Some of the best walking country in England is located around Ilfracombe. You will find the scenery to be breathtaking, whether you choose a leisurely stroll along the promenade around Capstone Hill, confronting the rocky seaside route, or prefer the river valleys and peace of the moorland hills of Exmoor. A handful of excellent restaurants with a focus on regional fish can be found in Ilfracombe. The distinctive towns of Lynton and Lynmouth, with their clifftop railway, are to the east of Ilfracombe, and Clovelly and Hartland are to the west.
