We had an absolutely fantastic holiday in High Park Barn.. A super barn conversion which felt homely and gave us everything we needed. A lovely rural setting with plenty of shops and pubs nearby. Our little dog has a super holiday too and loved running around the field! We highly recommended this place and hope to return ourselves.

As others have said.. ..a full size dishwasher is not needed in a cottage for 2 people. With Covid 19 and the need to wash face coverings and the British weather a washing machine would have been useful. Otherwise a lovely quiet retreat from the stresses of life at this moment. Owners pleasant and helpful but not intrusive.

Looking at the picture of barn we thought it was detached and a little more isolated.. However owner was a lovely man and the barn was very clean. Bed had a firm mattress and I felt it was a little too firm however my partner who suffers from a bad back had lovely nights sleep. So this obviously varies on the individuals choice. As does my feeling that a washing machine may have been more beneficial than a family sized dishwasher for 2 people. I say this because there are some lovely walks down by the river and we had to wash trousers that were muddy in the sink on return back to the barn. Small fenced of courtyard was a bonus for the dog and secure. All in all lovely place and lovely owner.

You have everything you need in the barn, the bed was lovely and comfy and haveing a dishwasher made for easy tyding up.. The added bonus was the sucure back yard for the dog to play in whilst we enjoyed a glass of wine in the sun trap. Plenty of nice lesurely walks in the area especially down by the river. We found the barn made for an exelent base when attending an event at Westpoint in Exeter, itself being less than 10min from the motorway and 30 min from the venue. I hope enyone else who goes on my recommendation enjoys it as much as we did.

This Cottage was in an extremely quiet part of the devonshire countryside - No street lights only farms and horses.. It was exactly what we wanted and where we wanted to be. I thought the listing showed a DVD player but there wasn't one but there was WIFI. The owners were very pleasant people and very friendly and helpful. They left us a few essentials which were very much appreciated. The bed was extremely comfortable.

This pretty well converted cottage was a delight and very comfortable.. A bonus was the field at the the rear where we were able to walk our dog Archie.. If we are in this area again would definitely book this cottage again. A word of caution for tall people mind the front door it is quite low

We had a lovely relaxing time, the owners were really friendly, my husband was on a course with work for 2 days so it was near by to the course, I relaxed while he was working and even had a Sainsburys shopping delivered :) We visited Exmouth and Weymouth my husband did a boat dive and I did a shore dive.. We would defiantly go back.

It was perfect.. So quiet and at night the stars were amazing. Placed so both south and north coast near by. So much to see will need to return. Sara and Tom made us so welcome. Our dog Daisy loved the field and playing with Pipa . The field is a bonus to all those with dogs. Would highly recommend for those who require a total rest. Thank you so much. Loved it

Made a good base for visiting friends and family.. Property was a no frills place with easy access to M5 making it a good location. Only minor downside was the size of the shower. Too small for my husband who is not a big man.

We spent a wonderful week here and explored different parts of Devon each day. It is perfectly located. The hosts are wonderful, welcoming, helpful and made our visit memorable. We toured Exmoor on one day, Darmouth and Sidmouth on another, Exmoor on another day and spent most of two days in the historic city of Exeter. Quintessentially Devon! The cottage is perfect. Easy to park in front. Paths along the river are just outside. The cottage is a historic building so front door is low but inside there was plenty of room for me at 6'2" (hint for never banging your head on the front door lintel: place your hand on it as you enter). The private patio in back is wonderful and on mornings when it did not rain, we enjoyed our coffee there as we planned our day.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Devon.. Great little barncottage in a beautiful location. Locally there are some great walks around the Blackdown Hills and also good local facilities such as shops, pubs and restaurants. This location was an Ideal hub for getting around Devon and the surrounding areas (Exmoor, Dartmoor, Exeter and the Jurassic Coast)

Lovely little place and a perfect base for being able to get in your car and explore various seaside areas close by. Lovely little touch leaving us some eggs, milk and biscuits for our arrival. Plenty of maps in the draw to look at the local area and plan your trips. We would go again as it was such a relaxing time away. Thank you

Set on the outskirts of the heart of the village, a 10 minute walk from pub and local shop, this is an ideal base to stay should you wish to visit the surrounding area. The cottage is cosy, clean and welcoming. Tom and Sarah (and Cass the dog, Denzil the cat) are friendly and should you stay you are assured they are on hand to help. Beautiful setting, views, peace and quiet. Just what the doctor ordered! Thank you.

A fantastic location for a winter break given it was within walking distance to the village and a short drive to Tiverton. The owners were great hosts who were very friendly and willing to give any assistance if needed.

Location and first impressions were good, location was ideal for our needs. The accommodation needs a lot of TLC and thought spent on it and it could be a lovely place. It needs decorating and cleaning, there were marks on all the walls, a damp patch on the wall to the left of the terrace doors in the bedroom, cobwebs every where, under the bed it was filthy. It is a good location for walkers, there is a dishwasher, but we would have preferred a washing machine. Net curtains in the bedroom had varnish stains on them, all the woodwork showed bad condensation stains. The facilities for a dog was very good. It was over priced for what was offered.

Had all we needed for a week stay. Only saw owners briefly at the start and would have liked more info. Loved the bedroom and everything clean and tidy. Need a car as amenities are out of town. Small grocery and pub in town. Had a really good stay. Had trouble finding cottage and had to ask a neighbour.

We were amazed how quick and easy it was to book a cottage the day before we travelled. This enabled us to check out the weather forecast first - ensuring beautiful weather!
