Arrived 12th Sep, after a 5 hour car journey arrived to a blissful area of Devon. The cottage is tastefully decorated, well equipped and so quiet! Dave and Ali gave us a warm welcome and left a well received welcome pack and cream tea.
The cottage is not far from Tiverton so the big Tesco supplied our stay as well as local produce shops.
We visited Bickleigh, Tiverton, Lyme Regis, Exeter, Exmouth, Polperro, Ilfracombe, Woolacombe and Sidmouth. Polperro, Lyme Regis and Sidmouth being our favourites.
Nothing nicer than spending a day out and then having a bbq at the cottage followed by star gazing from the hot tub and a glass of wine!
The hot tub is lovely and warm and a must after a long day out!
We were supposed to be going abroad this year but didn’t want to risk it due to covid and this cottage popped up last minute, it is specially covid cleaned too which put our minds at rest!
Has to be in my top ten holidays... just a stunning location and clean and well equipped with lovely owners, they should be proud of what they have achieved here and we will recommend to our friends and will definitely return!
Also a very friendly dragonfywe nicknamed Dave came to see us several times a day!
Thanks for making memories Ali and Dave x

A beautiful house in a beautiful location, the owners are amazingly helpful if required.
The house sits in a large garden, very safe for kids of all ages. Couldn't recommend enough, looking to book for next year

Booked at short notice, but what a gem. 4 bedroom cottage with all the home comforts you need. The hosts Dave and Ali were so helpful and accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. The cottage is finished to a very high standard and in a perfect location. Hot tub is an added bonus and was wonderful at night to sit and star gaze. We will definitely be back.

We very much enjoyed our stay in this cottage.. The location is in the countryside, with peace and tranquility all around. Tiverton and Bickleigh are, however, a short car ride away. The cottage was clean, well equipped and comfortable, furnished to a high standard. Dave and Ali were great hosts, very friendly and helpful when we had questions. We were lucky enough to stay over the Easter period where we were able to take advantage of the peaceful and comfortable garden location as well as making good use of the BBQ. We hope to return to the cottage soon!

A beautiful cottage in stunning, peaceful surroundings.. Dave and Ali are excellent hosts and have made this cottage into a lovely little holiday retreat. The welcome pack on arrival had everything you needed after a long journey, the scones with clotted cream went down treat and were a lovely surprise. We would certainly recommend a stay here if you are in need of a relaxing break in one of the best cottages we have stayed in. No matter what the weather (we had rain, storms and sunshine) Fig Tree cottage provided the perfect location for a lazy day or to explore the surrounding areas. We are returning home batteries fully charged and with some lovely cottage cooking apples ready for a crumble, windfall from the storms!!! Thank you for making our first trip to mid-Devon so memorable and enjoyable.

We had a really lovely week exploring Devon which we hadn’t visited for sometime.. Fig Tree cottage was a very spacious and comfortable property with all the amenities you could wish for in a very quiet, though not too remote, location. The owners Dave and Ali were very welcoming and Dave even managed to show us his baby tortoises something we had never seen before just a shame we couldn’t bring one home. Thanks for a great week.

Our stay at Fig Tree Cottage was delightful.. The location was a fantastic mix of serene tranquility (at the cottage itself) but within easy range of many of Devon’s sites and attractions to suit all ages (we were a party of 6 adults and 2 children).
The cottage itself was comfortable, clean, well maintained and fully equipped, our hosts were very welcoming, and approachable, and addressed any questions, concerns or suggestions we had, in a timely fashion and with a smile and a thank you.
My family and I would not hesitate to recommend Fig Tree Cottage, and very much look forward to staying there again in the future.

Lovely cottage in an idyllic location.. Very quiet and peaceful. Cottage could not be faulted with everything available that we could need. Grounds were lovely, secluded and secure.
Would return to this property and would strongly recommend to others. Thank you.
