  • "Clean and peaceful place."

Only downside was lack of Network connectivity in oak tree cottage. Other cottages dont have the same issue. For a couple with limited ways to stay entertained indoors would need internet. But no other issues. We still enjoyed indoor pool and idlying around beautiful surroundings. It was ideal for a stressfree break. I hope host will fix the wifi issue in future for couples staying in that cottage. Would highly recommend and will visit again with friends.

Lovely to meet you both and glad you enjoyed a relaxing break. Thank you for your positive comments about Redhays. Oak Tree cottage does have a connection for internet as well as TV access to Netflix etc as all the cottages do ,there is just less connectivity upstairs. Property Owner

  • "A wonderful week at Oak Tree Cottage."

Met by the lovely and friendly hosts, Rachel and Neil. Presented with a great Devon cream tea on arrival. Really quiet and comfortable accommodation. Immaculately presented. Everything provided that you could think of or need. Lovely pool indoor with comfortable seating around. We would love to return and fully intend to. Would recommend to anyone wanting a peaceful getaway.

We really appreciate you taking the time to leave such a great review. It was a pleasure to meet you both and you are welcome back any time . Property Owner

  • "We stayed here for 3 nights, was a lush place to stay."

Only things are the cutlery had leftover food from the people before. The steps in the pool was slippery and my partner had fell getting in. Due to hot weather no fans available so quite hot at night time and pillows were uncomfy. Good things were lush views, landscaping taken care of, host was very welcoming and always available when needed. And welcomed with warm scones which we found was a nice touch. Anyone booking here make aware that is 30 mins away from shops and pool closes at 6pm

Thank you for leaving a review. A pity we weren’t informed of these points whilst you were here. You advised everything was great when you left and wrote the same in our guestbook. Apologies regarding the cutlery, this is a first. Fans are available upon request. Pillows are modern microfibre, others are available upon request. Pool steps are built in,to allow gradual entry with a handrail as opposed to metal ladder. Sorry to hear she slipped on one occasion. Nearest shops are 10 mins drive. Property Owner

  • "We stayed at Oak Tree Cottage for the last week of the summer holidays."

We arrived to a warm welcome from Rachel and Neil who were on hand with info and any help we needed. We were greeted to a wonderful cream tea and even goodies set out for the dog. Such a nice touch! The house and grounds were stunning with a pool and trampoline to keep the kids entertained. We enjoyed meeting the resident horses and the location is great for getting out and about around Devon. We can't wait to book again and go back for another holiday.

Thank you for taking the time to leave such a positive and thoughtful review. A pleasure to meet you all and would happily welcome you back any time. Property Owner
