Self-Catering Junket Studio in Devon

We stayed for a week at Junket Studio during late August and really enjoyed our visit. The apartment is ideal for a couple, and has a very high quality contemporary feel, with a well equipped galley kitchen (including dishwasher and washing machine) and shower room. The place was spotlessly clean when we arrived and the owner, (who lives locally also), was available by phone if we needed anything, and also gave us some great pointers for places to visit and local places to eat out. We were very lucky with the weather and had a week of almost continuous sunshine, and were able to make good use of the full length balcony and open the large sliding doors that look out over the water. There is also a set of steps down to a private quay area that would be great for evening BBQs or just sitting by the water's edge. The apartment also has a dedicated parking space right outside, which was a real plus as parking is at a premium in the area due to the narrow lanes. There are a couple of nice pubs within 10-15 mins walk of the apartment that also do food. Our recommendation would be the Ship Inn, although if staying during holiday season its best to book a table as it can get busy of an evening. Some really good local coastal walks starting from Noss Mayo, and Plymouth is a decent sized city with lots of things to see and places to eat out and is about 30mins drive away. I suspect we will be back again at some point as it's a great place to unwind, relax and recharge your batteries!

An absolutely stunning property in a beautiful location. Admittedly we were blessed with amazing weather but this is the third time we have stayed here and we really can’t fault it. The owner is extremely attentive but without being intrusive. Can’t speak highly enough of this wonderful place.

The property was just right for us.. It was stylish with a modern decor. It was warm and spotlessly clean. A very comfortable bed which gave a good night’s sleep. The kitchen was well stocked which made self catering very easy. The views over the estuary were full of interest. Nearby local pubs within walking distance. Linda the owner was fantastic. She was so helpful with lots advice about where to go and what to do. We didn’t mind the weather as there are lots of very good walks nearby. We couldn’t of asked for anything more from a place to stay or from our gracious host. Fab, fab, fab! ❤️

Junket Studio is utterly lovely and has been decorated, equipped and furnished beautifully.. The view through the full length windows and beyond the deck is a joy and ever changing with the tides and the weather. I know it is a quiet time of year, but the position is very peaceful and relaxing and even in the height of the season, I would guess that would be the same. We would definitely hope to return. Linda as host was helpful, warm and welcoming and thank you to her for the bottle in the fridge and cream tea on arrival! We loved both Noss Mayo and Newton Ferrers and enjoyed some good walks through woodland and out onto the coastal paths. Only one suggestion and that is to maybe provide a little more crockery - as it is a place for two, it takes a little time to fill up the dishwasher and not wanting to run it only half full, some more crockery and glassware would be an idea . . . pretty minor observation really! We are very satisfied and well rested customers.

Fab location and apartment, shame about the weather as very wet as we were only there for the weekend but what a place to be in and wished we had booked for the week.. We loved it and the host Linda was lovely and most helpful. Welcomed us with a delicious cream tea. Def will be coming back next year and would highly recommend!!

Junket Studio is simply stunning.. You hardly want to move from the terrace with the stunning views over the estuary. Fantastic area to explore. Amazing local gallery with fantastic local crafts just a short walk away. We have had a fantastic week and plan to return soon. The owner is delightful and makes you feel welcome from your arrival with a cream tea and proscesso and has fantastic recommendations for places to visit. Thank you so much Linda.
