Indulge in the natural beauty and exceptional coastlines of South Devon at this 19th Century cottage, situated in the beautiful South Hams village of Harberton. Set equidistance between Dartmoor National Park and some of the county’s most beautiful beaches, you can be rambling the moors or coastlines in just a few miles drive. In the bustling village, you’ll find a cosy inn with hearty grub. Or for a change of scene, hop in the car to Totnes (a ten-minute drive away) to potter about independent shops and cafes. And when it’s finally time to relax, a charming home awaits. When the sun shines, dine out in the enclosed south-facing terrace at the front of the cottage and watch the evening sun make way to starry nights with the distant tooting owls your only distraction. In winter months, get toasty in the snug sitting room with its roaring wood-burner fire. Sensitively renovated throughout, exposed wooden beams, oak floors, and a stone fireplace show the bones of the cottage’s past – but that’s where the tweeness ends. The hosts have injected some serious style into this property, and it’s high-tech too, being powered by one hundred per cent sustainable energy sources. You didn’t expect that from an itsy bitsy cottage off the beaten track, did you?
