Orchard Cottage is an extremely well appointed, clean, warm & cosy home from home with the emphasis on home..   We would describe our stay as a dog friendly self catering experience with hotel-like personal attention. The owners were sensitive to our needs and interacted when necessary whilst ensuring us that they were always available if need be. They are kind souls and it was a pleasure to be looked after by them.  The accommodation is ideally situated with supermarkets in Oakhampton and Tavistock which we found useful to visit on a return drive from walking on Dartmoor. Our visit was idyllic and we went home rested, refreshed and very glad we chose such a beautiful property and location. Peter & Jackie are absolute stars and we look forward to returning one day.

The whole booking experience on this holiday was very easy.. The Sykes staff member who assisted us with questions was really helpful and helped us get the correct place for us. The Cottage we stayed at was amazing and something special we loved it from the minute we walked in! The hosts were the best we have ever had. I cannot stress how brilliant, helpful and friendly they were - all the time giving us complete privacy too! The welcome package they provided was a fantastic surprise and so helpful. It truly was an amazing holiday from start to finish and we shall be booking again!

The owners were incredibly welcoming! They made sure the cottage was warm on our arrival and stocked with bread and milk, scones with jam and cream, and all sorts of extras we didnt expect. Also we had other things like a towel for the dog, and a bowl which we weren't expecting either and the owners left us a bone for our dog also. The cottage was lovely, and very clean and cosy. The area was beautiful and we couldn't have asked for more! The owners were on hand always should we need anything extra, and made sure we were ok for logs for the fire etc. They also said we didn't need to rush to leave which was really nice. We struggled to get our dog to leave when we came home! I think he wanted to move in. Perfect place I would definitely recommend, and I'm quite critical and difficult to please but I always appreciate good service but this was definitely beyond good service. Faultless!!!
