Okehampton, which is just a 10 minute drive away, has a variety of shops, markets and local shops to browse, as well as some lovely cafes which are perfect for a lunchtime snack. If the weather is bad, the town also offers a leisure centre, with an indoor heated pool, gym, sports hall and dance studio.
