Area Braunton is a village in North Devon, situated right at the centre of the North Devon Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and incorporating Braunton Burrows, the largest area of sand dunes in Europe, a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest. A couple of miles from the village is Saunton Sands beach, a three-mile stretch of beautiful west-facing sandy beach, backed by the sand dunes. Stroll along the beach, enjoy the surfing, or have a leisurely picnic. Just five minutes around the headland is Croyde Bay an excellent surfing beach, and round the next headland is Woolacombe Bay, another 3 mile stretch of beautiful sandy beach. There are some fabulous golf courses in the area including Saunton, Portmore or Royal North Devon golf courses. The South West Coast Path from Braunton to Instow follows part of the Tarka Trail along the estuary of the River Taw. This is part of North Devon’s Biosphere Reserve and much of the route follows old railway trackbeds, which now serve as an easy level route for walkers as well as cyclists. An understated part of Devon, with plenty to do for coast and country lovers alike.

Nairn is a comfortable, spacious, welcoming large family home.. Great location. Beautifully appointed. Everything including bedding and towels fresh and clean. A generous welcome pack and so much more. The facilities are excellent and sooooo much room. It’s obviously been a family home and the comfort and warmth it gives makes you feel very much at home. We had between 12 and 5 people over the week and it never felt either too big or too small. It’s simply lovely and we definitely will be back. Hopefully when it’s not raining next time!!!!

Nairn was absolutely perfect for our Christmas break, the house is stunning with all the amenities and equipment you would need.. For us the focal point was the cavernous kitchen where, as a group we prepared our Christmas dinner and drank a little wine.
the space the house provides is plenty enough if you want to sneak away for a little bit of peace & quiet while allowing everyone else to carry on with whatever they're doing.
The Hot tub is an ideal addition regardless of how cold it may be.
All in all i would highly recommend this house and i know we will be returning in the not to distant future.

We stayed in Nairn with a large group of friends including children and babies.. The house was just perfect! The pictures do not do it justice! All bedrooms and bathrooms were very spacious and there was so much living space for such a large group. Plenty of lovely walks around the local area and lots of shops / pubs / coffee shops close by. We had a great weekend and would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking at a country / beach break!

This property has exceeded all expectations, not only for my husband and I, but our family and friends that we invited to share our special celebration.. They are already looking to book next year, and we have already had requests for details of the property from friends that were unable to join us. We have been spoilt for space, comfort and amenities that could not be faulted. A most fabulous house and gardens, a beautiful little town, Braunton, and the most spectacular beaches only a few miles down the road. Thank you for letting us share some of Devon’s perfection.

The information stated that there would be FIVE bathrooms - which would have been a bathroom for each couple - but there were only FOUR bathrooms and a toilet.. This is actually misrepresentation and we would have looked for something else, had we known.
Apart from that, the house was lovely - spacious, well-appointed and clean. There were something to please everyone - hot tub. table tennis, pool table, garden play items for the children, wood burning stoves, two fridges! The location is ideal for beaches and shops. Although it suggests there is parking for "up to four cars", there is actually plenty of parking.

The holiday home was beautiful, in a lovely setting and with ample room for all the family.. A couple of items we would have liked to have added would be sun loungers for the garden. There was only limited seating on hard wooden chairs on the patio and no where to lie out on. The other thing would be tvs in at least some of the the bedrooms as with only 2 in the whole house, it was a bit limiting catering for 12 people aged from 3 to 64.

Everything was beyond expectations.. We were a family of 3 generations with 5 grandchildren and Nairn Cottage was just a perfect fit for us. 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. Wonderful accommodation brilliant facilities and even though all of us were showering every day and sometimes twice there was constant hot water.
Would not hesitate to stay again.

Nairn was perfect for us.. It was my husband’s 60th and we got our children and grandchildren together to celebrate and Nairn gave us the space to do this. Spacious, comfortable (beds were amazingly comfy), clean and well equipped. Great location, quiet area within walking distance to town. Nice garden too! Many thanks

Nairn is a truly special house, ideal for a large family gathering.. We were a party of 10, 5 adults and 5 children, and the accommodation and facilities were ideal. It is very spacious, and superbly equipped, the kitchen especially. The furnishings are very tasteful and of very high quality, it was a pleasure to live there for a few days. The children had a great time using the hot tub, pool table and XBox, in fact we didn't ever watch TV the whole weekend. The weather was pretty miserable, but somehow that didn't seem to matter. The house was lovely and warm even without the wood burners, though they are a very nice feature too. I highly recommend this property.
