Set on scenic farm in North Devon, this home offers the best of both countryside and coast. With brilliant beaches like Woolacombe and Saunton a short drive away, it’s ideal for a surfing holiday or seaside getaway. When you’re not busy at the beach, the tranquil setting makes it easy to relax – and so does the luxurious copper bathtub. As you’d expect from a converted barn, it’s full of character (see the timber beams and traditional range cooker). And while it might be a little snug with the sofa bed set up, we think the winning location makes up for the slightly cosy space.

Home truths:
*The bathtub here is separate from the bathroom and part of the bedroom – this is on the mezzanine level and semi-open to the space below, so privacy is limited. The low beams in the bedroom also mean it might not be suitable for taller guests.
*If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot and high chair for free. You'll need to request them in advance.
*Two well-behaved dogs are welcome to accompany you during your stay. There's an exercise paddock on the farm where dogs can play securely. Inside the house, dogs should be kept downstairs and off the furniture.
*Bike and surfboard storage is available here, along with a wetsuit drying room.
*Due to this home's location, we recommend hiring a car to get the most out of your stay. Parking is available.
