North Devon has much to see and for keen walkers and cyclists the cottage overlooks and is within minutes of the Tarka Trail which provides 21 miles of level, scenic and traffic free cycling, and where bicycles can be hired. Barnstaple (North Devon's largest town) is less than five miles away and has a busy pannier market selling local Devon produce, a theatre, cinema and well known fashion stores.
