A Grade II listed cottage, it's fair to say this Devon home has plenty of character. We loved just about everything here – with a small, plant-lined garden ideal in summer, a log burner to make things cosy when it's cold outside, and a charming orangery besides, it's an ideal setting for a family getaway. And although we thought the metal frame beds weren't really in line with the rest of the decor, the freestanding bathtub is a welcome addition. When you want to explore, you're just a short drive from both the River Taw and sandy beaches.
Home truths: *Due to this home's location, we recommend hiring a car to get the most out of your stay. There’s free parking for up to two cars on the driveway, though it will be a squeeze with large cars. More free parking is available nearby.
*The ceiling in some areas is on the low side. It might not be suitable for taller guests.
*Your host may be able to accommodate an earlier check-in or later check-out time on request.
*Two well-behaved dogs are welcome to join you during your stay. The host asks kindly that they remain off the furniture and remain downstairs.
*You'll need to be over the age of 25 to check in here, so it's not suitable for a group of younger guests.
*If you're travelling for work, you'll find a desk in the single bedroom.
