Just stayed in the Dairy cottage for the week.. Great accommodation, great location, very peaceful and relaxing. Wendy is the perfect host, very helpful and accommodating. Would definitely recommend if you want to explore this part of the Peak District as everywhere we wanted to visit was no more than 25 minutes away. Dawn & Jim

The cottage was perfect; with a homely feeling.. On arrival it was heated and everything was well explained; available and clean. The location was perfect for the quiet and peaceful weekend we wanted. The bed was a final plus; as it is one of the most comfortable and welcoming beds that I ever slept in! All and all, a perfect weekend away. Thank you!

The Dairy has a proper cottage look and feel to it, and was very well equipped with every thing we needed, the drying room was a great bonus.. The surrounding scenery was absolutely beautiful, we even had a day of snow which made it look even more beautiful. The Dairy is perfectly situated isolated but not that far away from local amenities, our two spaniels loved the beautiful walks and with so many to choose from we will definitely be back Thank you Wendy for a great week

Thanks for excepting the dogs, would have been nice to have some cleaning equipment ie vacuum cleaner and cleaning fluids for the kitchen and bathroom, as it was a bio system we didn't know what to use.. On the whole it was good, welcomed with home made scones and jam, beautiful countryside all around, and pub with great food about a 1mle, and friendly bar staff, and enjoyable week thank you Wendy , hope to see you again

So much could be said about this cottage, it is beautifully maintained, everything superbly clean. Warm and comfortable with a vey welcome tray of tea, coffee, milk, sugar and biscuits waiting for you on arrival. The views from the courtyard are stunning and what a sun trap! Perfectly situated for ease of access to many stunning walks and attractions. One tiny observation that might help some is that if your dog's second name is Houdini then part of the wall surrounding the courtyard might just be low enough to tempt them to pop over it. Owner offers a pet sitting service if you want to go out for a meal or similar where your dog might not be welcome.

Great little cottage & met expectations.. A couple of brilliant dog friendly pubs just under an hours walk away. Cars do travel quite fast along the adjacent road so dogs has to be kept on the lead even in the front yard. Would recommend.

Every time I went outside saw the green field moving in the wind, heard the sheep and looked at the colors play of the sky I felt as if I was meditating. The quite and space feeling were exactly what we needed on our vacation havin jobs in the fast lane. The cottage was fully equipped for our family as we are cooking at home and not eating out. There were enough pots for soup and rice, pans to fry fish bowls for a salad and trays to bake a cake all in parallel. The living room has 2 very comfy couches and enough light to read at night after the hike. The downstairs toilet is a bonus. Upstairs the bedrooms are comfortable and it was a first that we had blanket duvet and sheet for cover. This was very considerate as my husband and I like different covers. The beds and pillows were good and the extra shower in the parents room reduced pressure in the morning. I would add a second drape as the light was steaming in at 4 AM. The lane leading to the farm is reasonable to drive on for non UK residents and Tideswell with shops, caffe's and pubs is less than 10 minutes drive away WIFI was quite slow, a bonus for me as I could not work even if wanted. we all would love to come back

The location is so peaceful and rural, and the accomodation was warm, spacious (even for 4 adults and 2 setters) and very comfortable with lots of little details that make it even more special.. The owner is very helpful indeed and was so accomodating with the dogs providing them with extra areas to exercise, inside and on their land with a lovely walk. She even looked after the dogs when we were at a wedding! Such a great service - and we are so thankful! The cottage was easy to find and is in a great location base for various activites, towns, villages, walking, shops and there is a very nice pub with a fantastic view about 4 miles away. Will thoroughly reccomend this cottage and will be going back again sometime!

I would totally recommend.. It was absolutely fantastic. The cottage was beautiful, nicely decorated, in a beautiful location, clean, nice big bathroom, we had all the utensils we needed to cook, shared utility room, much more than we expected. I always get worried about getting cold at night, but the place was nice and warm I didn't get cold at all. The view was the best part for me; looking at the sheep in the field through out the window, when we were seating at the table, was very relaxing and made feel happy. Wendy - the owner - was fabulous, she would answer our messages or phone calls very quickly and was always keen to help. We took with us our new puppy - Osito - and she was very kind and helpful as to what was needed for him. She even looked after Osito a couple of days when we couldn't take him with us in our daily trips! She also gave us some good advice about places to visit. We also found lost of information in the cottage about he local and not so local attractions. We had some really nice food in the pub nearby. We all enjoyed the walks around the fields. The landscape when we were driving around was amazing. Thanks Wendy, we had a great time!

We booked The Dairy for three nights in March 2018. We needed to change our booking to a day earlier. we spoke to the owner and she was extremely helpful. We arrived for our first night, the cottage was lovely and clean and warm and cosy. The owner called in to see if everything was ok for our family. We had heavy snow whilst visiting and the owner kindly cleared the snow for us so that we could get home. We would love to stay in the cottage again and appreciate the beautiful countryside and the lovely village of Tideswell. The Peak District is stunning.

The Dairy at Forest Lane Farm is a cozy self-catering cottage that suited our needs for the week right down to the ground. The views are outstanding, the facilities were as outlined and very good. WiFi connection excellent as was the sleeping! Located not far from Tideswell where you'll find excellent fish & chips at the Corner Chippy and a lovely pint at the close to town Anchor. The owners of the cottages could not be beat. Always right there when you needed any assistance at all. We were never made to feel that we were a bother in the least. I truly wanted to take their gorgeous horses Larry and Frankie home with me. We had a great time and a good stay!

We were greeted soon after arriving. The owner was very friendly and offered help in whatever way we needed. It was a beautiful cottage which was situated in a quiet area of natural beauty, yet was within a short distance of a main road. An excellent centre for everything and a most comfortable cottage. We felt welcome right from the start. Heating and lighting were on as we arrived on a cold, rainy evening. When my husband mentioned that the only thing missing was a clock in the lounge one had magically appeared when we came back that day. The view was very restful and the location quiet.
