I would not call it a cottage, it’s an annex to main house via garage. The lovely garden that houses the hot tub is very noisy with lots of traffic and the fish smell from the chip shop over the road made it a little unpleasant and the bright street light over the hot tub, and we only went for the hot tub, but the smell was only on the Saturday so that was good. We as 4 adults found it a little to small, maybe because we travel around the country doing hot tub breaks we are usually fortunate to have plenty of room. I’d say it’s ideal for a couple.. It would benefit from Sky TV as our husbands didn’t get to watch football. The hosts were perfect, very welcoming and very nice.

A lovely little cottage which is centrally located.. Lots of great pubs, restaurants and little villages to visit. The hot tub was just the icing on the cake. There is a very informative information pack that gives you all you need to plan a fabulous staycation. We loved it and will definitely be back.

Lovely cottage and will get the 2 complaints out the way first.. .. it was booked for a birthday celebration and chosen due to it having a hot tub. My daughters were very excited! Unfortunately the hot tub wasn’t available on the first night as they had changed the water from the last visitors and said it would still be cold. I understand that during COVID-19 extra precautions are needed but perhaps they should leave a day between each booking so the hot tub is available? They did kindly offer to let us use their hot tub which is located outside their house but it didn’t feel private and we felt awkward about using it. The second issue was the duvets on the beds. They are made of plastic and presumably there Incase visitors wet the bed. They are incredibly hot and slide down to the end of the covers in a big lump! We all slept badly on night 1 and in the morning I removed them from the covers and we slept just with sheets over us on night 2. Had I known, I would’ve brought our own duvets and would do so if we returned. Other than that we had an enjoyable stay. It has a lovely courtyard style garden which makes for a very relaxing area on a nice weather day. The little summer house is also cute and a nice addition. We ate our evening meal here. The cottage is well equipped and cosy. The host is lovely and very welcoming x

The owners are really nice, friendly and helpful.. There when needed and non-intrusive. Storm Ciara hit us while we were down there but we did manage to use the Hot Tub once and it was great.

The house is on a main road, the road noise was shocking, especially when in the bedrooms.. We were woken up by this on both days. The hot tub is directly next to the main road and the traffic is so loud we were unable to hear our friends when we face timed them. Most uncomfortable beds I've ever had whilst staying away, plus they were also the smallest double beds I've ever seen.

Cottage was very nice and clean.. The only reason we booked though was for the hot tub, which was massively disappointing. Was told it was checked and maintained daily on arrival but on the second day in it there was a lot of brown scum and black hairs floating to the top when the bubbles were turned on, nobody in our family has black hair and we certainly aren't unclean and had showered beforehand. On the 3rd day my wife had planned her day around relaxing in the hot tub but when she went to use it and opened the lid it hadn't been cleaned, the water was green and it smelt terribly (like cabbage) and so was totally unusable. She knocked on the door of the owners but there was nobody in so she called the mobile number supplied to us and there was no answer, so she left a voicemail message. The call wasn't returned so she sent a text to the same number letting them know of the issue but there was no reply at all from the owners so she went out for the day instead. The next morning was check-out. I had a look at the hot tub and it was still in the same condition as the previous day. When handing the key over to the owner, she said that her husband had replied to the text saying that we could use their own hot tub. Neither my wife or I received this text message nor a phone call back regarding this. It wouldn't have been an option anyway due to the lack of privacy. She said that the hot tub should be self cleaning and asked if we had showered before using it or had creams on us that could have caused the issue. It was October so we definitely haven't used any sun creams, plus we have used hot tubs many times and have never experienced this issue before so it was definitely not down to us. Unfortunately, this issue ruined the stay so we wouldn't return. Regards Matthew Mitchell

3 girls booked and enjoyed this lovely cottage.. Little pub and Co-OP less than a 10 minuite walk away. Host was lovely and came to greet us on the Friday and let us know that they would be around for our stay should we have any questions. We wanted the cottage for a relaxing weekend of hot tubs, box sets on our now TV box that we took as the property had wifi and to make use of the gym facilities... the wifi didnt work for streaming or sending of messages even though it had a minimum of 1 bar signal. The cottage could use some blinds for privacy as we had to keep all curtains drawn. Sykes have this cottage down as a 2 bathroom, the cottage has one. When we asked the host where the gym was we were advised that Sykes had been asked to remove the gym as it had been removed due to damaged equipment. Our stay was lovely but I believe Sykes have mis led our expectations and I would not use Sykes again for any breaks away.

To be honest there wasn't much to fault the cottage and our stay.. The main thing what annoyed me is the fact that you advertise that there is a gym with this cottage, yet when we got there and asked about it I was told that the facilities were broken and awaiting to be fixed by sykes... I wasn't prewarned about this and I had prepared myself to work out while I was there. I believe this to be false advertising and that we should be entitled to some sort of compensation. Apart from this, I couldn't fault the hosts. They were very welcoming and practically didn't exist between saying hello and goodbye, they made it feel very private. Saying this they did let us know that they would be available if we needed any assistance with anything. Also, it was really nice to chill in the tub despite being right next to a busy main road but we did look this up and expected it.

On arrival we were greeted by the owners with a warm welcome.. The cottage is cosy & the hot tub was fab. Nicky provided some starter food items until we went shopping..very much appreciated. A good selection of dvd’s we’re also provided for entertainment. The cottage is in a great location for travelling out from. We would definitely visit again & recommend to others.

The owners were extremely welcoming and made us feel right at home, they couldn’t have been any nicer.. Even moved there own car to allow us to park on the drive, which was greatly appreciated! The accommodation was comfortable for 4 adults plus a new born and had everything we needed. Hot tub was nice and secluded and local attractions are nice. Twycross zoo is 10 minutes away, great takeaway over the road, nice pub a short walk down the road, Moira (1.5miles away) is a nice little villiage with restaurants and things to do! Literally the one and only down side was the mattresses in both beds were less than comfortable!

We have just stayed at Bramble Grange for three nights. We were greeted by the very friendly owner and shown around. The owners live on the property but the cottage is seperate & unless you need help with anything, the owners completely leave you to your own divices. The cottage has it's own little outside area with a fabulous hot tub, yes it is against a road so you can hear some traffic, but we didnt find that off-putting. The high surrounding wall allows you complete privacy, which was a definite plus for the property & we would most certainly return. The location was ideal, with a shop & pub in walking distance & some great walks round & about. We also drove into the City one of the days, which took about 40 minutes. Would highly recommend to families & couples.

We have just come back from a weeks break at bramble grange, we had a wonderful time, it was a perfect holiday cottage for us and our 2 children. We were met asoon as we got there shown around, then left to enjoy our holiday, the place was clean and the hot tub was amazing, we had everything we needed shops were not far away, local pub, park for the children within walking distance, The noise wasn't an issue, like the pervious review said, it's situated on a main road so there is bound to be cars and trucks go by. We would certainly visit again Thank you

The accommodation at Bramble Grange was just perfect for us, both in terms of the living and sleeping arrangements, and proximity to the areas theme parks and other tourist/activity centres. The whole accommodation inside and out was spotless. My husband and I were on holiday with our 3 year old son, so the 2 good size double bedrooms were excellent - very comfortable beds, good storage and lighting. There was a fold out dining table in the living area which was great for eating together. Also there was a lovely private hot tub and sauna, TV with DVD and WIFI access for us to keep ourselves entertained at night once our son was asleep. The main bedroom also had a TV. The owners live in the attached main house (a lovely couple who just leave you to it unless you need them) which, together with this holiday letting, wrap around a very cosy quite court yard style drive/garden with fish pond, lovely planting and evening lighting and a designated car space. I would definitely recommend this property for parents with one or 2 children or 1-2 couples looking to explore Leicestershire and neighbouring county's.

Had a very warm welcome from the owners. It was a lovely little cottage which was absolutely spick and span! We really enjoyed our break at Bramble Grange, especially the hot tub in the garden which was amazing and had jets and light features! It was great to know that the owners were just next door in case we needed anything. Also it is very very well located in he National Forest and very close to all the main attractions, fishing lakes, restaurants and cafes.

Cottage is nice enough, lovley hot tub in garden, but noise level from main road is horrendous , it was very hot when we stayed , so with windows open it was dreadful, even with double glazed windows it can be heard.. Pretty garden but no shade or umbrella, no table to eat meals at only coffee table. Nice lounge with pretty bay window. Clean but Bathroom was dated. Bedrooms not very big, no dressing table. Nice cotton bed linen an comfortable beds. Lacked some equipment like basics bathmat, caftetiere. Milk and shloer left in fridge which was a nice gesture, but all round traffic noise spoiled it totally.

The owners of the property were very friendly and helpful and although the property was attached to their own, it seemed completely separate. There were plenty of things to do locally, for all the family. The hot tub sauna were a bonus too!

Lovely compact, comfortable accommodation, very easy for my elderly parents to manage in, it was everything we needed. Can imagine the garden being a lovely little sun-trap in good weather too. The owners were very friendly an very helpful, making us feel welcome and at ease. Wish we'd booked for longer than 3 days!

We loved the fact it was close to main shopping places eg Burton upon Trent. It was very private.
