We loved this little cottage and would definitely book again.. It was really cosy, had a lot of history, had everything we needed and was a very short walk into the village of Cromford, which was also an unexpected bonus, as it was quite unknown to us. A bottle of wine on arrival was a welcome touch, after a long journey around the M25 and then M1, arriving after 7pm!! Also basic essentials such as bread, milk, marg and local biscuits!! My only comment would be stepping in and out of the traditional bath to shower may be a challenge for some.
The village has everything you need within a few minutes walk, including butcher, general stores, an excellent pub, The Boat Inn and some bistro style restaurants and interesting shops, not to mention the historical Mills to visit. Cromford is also surrounded by local walks, fabulous scenery and an easy drive (or bus/train) to interesting towns and the wonderful Peak District for longer walks and hikes. Something for everyone!
