Nestled on the edge of the Peak District situated between Tansley village and the market town of Matlock. Nearby is Bakewell with one of the oldest weekly markets in the area, Chatsworth House and Matlock Bath, all easily accessible by car. There are lovely country walks from the property for those who enjoy the outdoors and plenty of off road cycling tracks. Matlock has a variety of shops, cafes, restaurants, pubs, a weekly market and parks. Matlock Bath is a well known resort on the River Derwent. Visit the popular Heights of Abraham cable cars and enjoy other numerous entertainments throughout the year. The Matlock Bath illuminations and firework display are especially popular in autumn. From horse riding at Darley Dale and Hazelwood to rock climbing in Cressbrook, there is no shortage of things to do in the Derbyshire Dales. Converted in 2005 and part of a former corn mill complex is this beautiful three bedroom cottage, ideal for long and short getaways. Stepping inside the hallway, take a seat to remove your boots and hang your coats, there is a cloak room with WC off from here. If you brought along you four legged friend you will find a basket of doggy goods to ensure they are well cared for too. Wander into the lounge room and put your feet up on the comfy sofa and watch your favourite TV programmes on the Smart TV. The dining table comfortably seats six people, ideal for mealtimes or board games after dinner. Open the French doors and head out to the decked balcony to be surrounded by sounds of the brook running down the side of the mill. Rustle up a meal in the kitchen which offers an AGA electric oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, washer/dryer and breakfast table. When it s time to retire, head upstairs and pick one of three well appointed bedrooms, a king size, double or twin. all with quality bedding ensuring you get the best nights rest. Completing the first floor is the bathroom with shower over bath and WC, enjoy a soak in the bath with bubbles after a long day. Outside, you will be engulfed with sounds of the surroundings from birds singing or the babbling brook. Within your private oasis up on the balcony or by taking some steps down to another patio space where you can dine al fresco, there is also space here for storing bikes. There are two allocated parking bays next to the cottage.
