Wirksworth 1.5 miles.

Lane Head Cottage is a beautiful stone-fronted cottage nestled within the charming village of Alderwasley.

A beautifully appointed dwelling boasting outstanding scenery and incredible views, this cottage is the perfect location for families, friends of five or two couples who seek an escape to the rural Derbyshire Dales.

Open the door of this traditional countryside cottage and step into the warmth of the spacious kitchen/dining room as you appreciate the character of the original feature fireplace and exposed wood beams.

Place your bags by the staircase and take off your coat and shoes before heading toward the cream kitchen and flicking on the kettle, so you can delight in a warm brew as you gather at the breakfast bar to map out your plans for the day ahead.

Place a log on the pretty woodburning stove and watch the fire flicker as you kick back and relax on the sofas and search for a movie to watch on the Smart TV.

Gather your bags and head up the stairs to the first-floor where you will find three relaxing bedrooms, each beautifully decorated with neutral tones and plenty of storage for housing all of your belongings.

There are both a double bedroom and a single bedroom, as well as a spacious super-king-size bed which can also be arranged into two singles upon request.

Once you've unpacked your belongings neatly into the storage provided, wander into the contemporary bathroom and indulge with a tranquil soak in the bath tub or a refreshing shower whilst your towel keeps warm and toasty on the heated towel rail.

Venture downstairs and take a seat at the dining table as your glass fills with wine and the room fills with divine scents from the food cooking away in the kitchen.

Tuck into a lovingly made meal and laugh with your loved ones as you recall fond memories from past holidays and toast to making more memories in the days to come.

Make the most of your time in this area with an exciting and insightful tour of the owners private farm, or head into the centre of the town for a hearty breakfast before an action-packed day at the famous Black Rocks.

Take to the waters as you canoe along the River Derwent and explore the Great Masson Cavern before retiring to your cottage for a quiet night in.

Embark on an adventurous weekend with a stay at Lane Head Cottage.
