Property Description

The quaint, cobbled village of Longnor provides an array of shops and traditional pubs. Nestled just below the top of a ridge between the Dove and Manifold valleys Longnor provides an excellent starting point for many walks, ranging from short ambles by the river to serious upland treks. Embark on a walk to explore your surroundings and encounter High Wheeldon, a distinctive dome shaped hill near the Staffordshire/Derbyshire border, incorporating nearby Chrome Hill and Parkhouse Hill if you want to extend your travels, and experience some fantastic views of the unspoilt landscapes. Along with the spa town of Buxton and the lovely market town of Bakewell there is the stunning Haddon Hall with a Medieval chapel with 15th century frescos, Elizabethan Walled Gardens, all set in the picturesque setting of River Wye valley. Beautifully decorated stone built cottage nestled beside the village church. Step inside from the cobbled street into an inviting and traditional cottage kitchen which holds all the appliances you need to cook some homemade meals with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and a washer/dryer. Take pleasure in dining together whilst tucking into a lovingly prepared meal. Head through to the lounge with wood burner and comfy sofas and watch a movie on the Smart TV or listen to your favourite music through the wireless Sonos speakers. Heading up the stairs, unpack your belongings within either the attractive king size bedroom or double bedroom with characterful features. Wake up to a refreshing soak in the bathroom with a shower over bath and WC. Head outside to the small courtyard just along the cobbled lane, enjoy a lazy breakfast or a glass of wine in the evening, planning the next day ahead.
