The following two things would have helped: advising of the two late opening and noisy nightclubs in the vicinity, and provision of instructions for household recycling..

Lovely clean spacious apartment which h looks just like the photos shown. It is,well provided with kitchen equipment which made family cooking easy. The welcome gifts of wine and chocolates were appreciated, as were the provision of tea, coffee, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid and so on. The room layout was slightly quirky but not a problem. The noise from the market square didn't cause us any problem, and having the local supermarket next door was really lovely. It would have been nice to have had some board games and perhaps another table in the living room, but these, are minor quibbles. We would happily recommend it to others.

The apartment lives up to the pictures and is nicely decorated and spacious. The chocolates and wine are a nice touch. The shower & bath are great. There is noise at night from the street so be aware if you’re a light sleeper. The market also sets up very early on a Saturday. But it is on a central street so the location is very good for bars, restaurants and walking. Little things to improve it would be a new lock on the main bathroom door as it falls off, a new bin as the lever is broken and another key would be handy. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would return.

The apartment was lovely, and situated is great area of Buxton, pretty much everything was great, huge apartment, lovely clean rooms, wine and chocs on arrival, and shop nearby for food and drinks, all in all a great stay! If I was to have one complaint though, its the key safe box was really tricky to get in to and only 1 key between 8 of us wasn't the best of solutions,so personally I would suggest maybe putting a key code lock on the doors in case people wanna come back at different times, but that was only a minor thing!

Very decent well sized apartment that is lovely and clean although some of the layout is a little odd – large rooms although you couldn’t open windows in 2 of the bedrooms which is a tad annoying if you like fresh air. Also the apartment is located above a night club and you can expect noise from late evening until early morning on a Saturday night and Buxton can get a bit let’s say lively so if you are a light sleeper it will have an impact on your stay (I am not so I was fine). However a very decent apartment and if I return to Buxton I would quite cheerfully use it again.

The cottage felt huge and luxurious and we had a perfect weekend.. I stayed with 6 other friends and we celebrated my birthday. I have never felt a bed so comfortable! The house was well stocked for self catering needs, with all the tools that you would need, and the bathroom and living room were of a very high quality. Buxton was a charming town with lots of lovely cafes and pubs. The nightlife seemed to be quite bustling and went on quite late, which wasn't too much of a problem for us, but could be for others. Overall, the apartment was amazing and incredible value for money. Thanks Sykes Cottages for making my birthday weekend so special!

All our family were very impressed with the apartments and facilities.. We stayed in both No 12 and 13 Eagle Parade and the situation was ideal. The only slight drawback was the approach to the glass porch which had a broken wooden ramp for wheelchair access. Otherwise excellent

We had a totally fab holiday! The apartment was amazing! It was very modern but we loved the beams and oak furniture. It was clean and very welcoming. The only downside would be I had to keep moving the car as no onsite parking for the whole week. Buxton is a fab little town and so beautiful. Lots to do and we all want to come back again next year! If your younger and enjoy clubbing and pubbing this is the place to be! Fab local transport and generally a fab place to be.

Visited in August 2018 and it is a great apartment as described in a great location for access to activities and walking.. A few things to note. 1. Due to the location close to some bars and clubs it is noisy till 1 or 2am on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Lucky for us it was not really hot so didn't have the windows open but if we had it would have been difficult to get to sleep. I think it does mention this in the description but you never really know how it is going to be. 2. Wifi when working is good however it did keep disconnecting even if sat next to the router in the lounge. would have to go through and keep manually re-connecting / restarting wifi on the tablet which was frustrating other times it just worked as expected. Also I guess because of the type of walls the signal didn't reach the family room very well so could perhaps do with an extender to that end of the apartment. 3. It could do with some bigger glasses because the largest available are small mason jars which just were not big enough. Same with the mugs for tea / coffee but this is a personal thing so not a complaint. Would stay again.

Great house with everything you need and great location for exploring.. Only thing I would suggest is an extra single bed in the biggest room so it can be for a family of 4.

The apartment was very spacious, well laid out and clean.. The kitchen was well stocked and the little extras were well appreciated. The location is right in the centre of town. The wifi was intermittent but it did not affect our stay and we enjoyed playing cards instead. The bathroom was exceptional and we would definitely come back.

Fabulous apartment in an excellent location near to all the amenities you could need.. The cleanliness and apartment in general is second to none. We stayed Friday and Saturday night as a group of 6 ladies and will defo be back. The only small downside is can be a little noisy at night as pubs and nightclubs a stones throw away although this did not greatly affect the fab time we had. Thank you for the lovely touches such as wine and chocs on arrival. Very much enjoyed!

The apartment is beautiful, spacious and very well equipped.. The location was perfect for us, slight problem with parking as I am disabled and can't walk far. The pre visit correspondence was extremely helpful, and the key arrangements were smooth and easy to follow. We would certainly come again

I stayed here with my husband and 2 children in January. We were visiting friends in Buxton and needed somewhere to stay in a central location. We chose this apartment as it seemed to have everything we wanted and we weren't disappointed. The apartment is in a lovely old building just off the Market Place with several shops and amenities close by. The apartment itself was spotlessly clean, lots of room and well equipped with everything you would need! All the rooms were modern and well decorated and we especially liked the kitchen and the shower/wet room as having young children this is a big bonus! The beds are really comfy and we all slept really well with very little noise especially as we slept at the front of the building but this was due to the windows all having double glazing. We will definitely consider this accommodation again when we need to visit Buxton.

This is a beautiful apartment, newly refurbished, well decorated with lovely furnishings and it could have been so perfect for our family weekend away. Sadly, it wasn't. The apartment is in an old building, above and very near to a busy pub and nightclubs. The windows (beautiful sash windows with shutters) are single glazed. Even with the windows and shutters as tightly closed as we could get them, the noise from the pub, music and revelry outside was so great we could hear the individual conversations of the people outside. On the Friday night the music and noise continued until 2 am, and on the Saturday night there was loud music until 4 that made the floors vibrate, and noise outside until 5 am. For two families with 5 small children aged 7 months to 7 years, we're used to interrupted sleep, but this was really too much to cope with. It's such a shame, a lovely apartment in a great little town, but if you can't sleep, it's really not worth staying here at all. Internal double glazing might help to reduce the noise levels somewhat. We'll visit Buxton again, but won't stay here.
