The bedrooms include a super-king-size and a king-size, serviced by a bathroom. Outside, there is a front lawn and roadside parking. Within 0.3 miles there is a shop and pub. This is a smoke-free property. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included in rent. Escape to Wayland House for a delightful retreat to Derbyshire. Note: Not suitable for those with limited mobility. Note: No vehicular access outside the property, dedicated parking space is accessible via stairs to the road below. Note: The back garden is on a steep rock slope and not suitable for guest use. Note: There is a 3 night minimum stay for this property.

Area
An attractive little market town retaining a delightful rural atmosphere and offering a good selection of shops, restaurants, and pubs, as well as local farmers markets. There is an old 17th- century market hall in the town centre and a modern leisure centre with swimming pool nearby. Bakewell is situated within the Peak District National Park and is ideally placed for exploring this beautiful region. Both the rugged Dark Peak and the softer limestone White Peak are within easy reach, and Alton Towers, Britain’s premier theme park, is only a short drive away. There are many stately homes to visit including Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, and Hardwick Hall to mention just a few, while the impressive caverns in nearby Castleton and Little John’s burial place in Hathersage are also well worth a visit. Take a trip to Buxton and visit the impressive Edwardian Opera House, designed by Frank Matcham, who also designed the London Palladium.
