Holiday Rental Description

Escape to the country in this detached barn which is perfect for couples, friends and small families wanting a rural escape to the Peak District National Park. The property sits on the edge of the pretty hamlet of Little Longstone. Just 3 miles from Bakewell, it boasts an unusual Victorian chapel and 16th century inn. Guests can enjoy the wide range of excellent walks on offer nearby, which include routes to the neighbouring villages of Great Longstone and Ashford in the Water, or along the River Wye in the Monsal Dale. Embrace the English grandeur of Chatsworth House and its parklands which offer a great place to spend the day exploring the glorious gardens and house just 6 miles away. Bakewell and the historical villages of Eyam and Foolow with its village green and duck pond, are all within 6 miles. A welcoming entrance hall, which doubles up as an alternative sitting area, leads you through to the kitchen/diner. With a beamed ceiling, wooden floor, farmhouse table and contrasting splash back tiles, this is a sociable and spacious family room in which to prepare and enjoy meals. The lounge is bright and airy, with a sandstone wall, wood burner and further exposed beams. Completing the ground floor is a shower room. Heading upstairs, the double bedroom is an impressive space with exposed ceiling beams and plenty of oak furniture. The twin bedroom has been decorated in the same fresh style. There is also a family bathroom on this floor. Outside there is a south facing patio area with table and chairs.
