Less than half a mile from the property, Lake Windermere itself has something for everyone, from lakeside picnics to steamer cruises, an aquarium, canoe and rowing boat hire and a spectacular choice of lakeside walks for four legged friends. Take the car ferry across to Hill Top House, 3.5 miles away, the beautifully conserved former home of Beatrix Potter and continue to traffic free Hawkshead, 5.5 miles away, with its whitewashed houses and charming cafes. Visit the smaller peaceful lake of Grasmere, 8 miles away, being sure to sample some of its famous gingerbread, together with neighbouring Ambleside, home to shops, restaurants, a cinema and one of the most photographed houses in the Lake District. Inside, this spacious and stylish property offers fresh neutral decor, a homely feel and sociable layout. Designed to make the most of its enviably elevated position, the open plan living accommodation is on the second floor. At one end, a modern kitchen area looks out over the Fairfield fells and is fitted with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher.
