This cottage is located in a secluded valley with many scenic walks from your doorstep. It is perfect for birdwatchers and those who really want to get away from it all. The village of Hawkshead is nearby, with its shops, pubs, and collection of National Trust properties. Coniston Water is just three miles from the cottage, where a boating centre gives visitors the chance to hire boats, take out canoes or try their hand at stand up paddle boarding. Access to this property is via an iron gate which brings guests to a field, crossing the field, guests will come to the cottage in its secluded valley. On entering the cottage, the hallway is the perfect place to leave coats and boots before going through to the spacious lounge/diner, with its long dining table and three comfortable sofas which are arranged around the cosy wood burner. The CD here allows guests to play their own music whilst they enjoy the tranquillity of being disconnected from screens. The kitchen is equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, and fridge/freezer. The slate staircase lead up to the first bedroom which is a large room, with twin beds, a small sized 4 double bed, and a working fireplace. A second set of steps leads to the bathroom with cast iron bath with hand held shower and WC. Another step leads up to the spacious double bedroom which has a door leading out into the garden. Outside, the heritage water mill makes an attractive backdrop to the property s lawns and wild gardens with mill stream which is crossed by slate bridges. Younger guests will enjoy the swing which hangs from one of the trees, but guests should be aware that due to the stream, children should be supervised at all times in the garden.
