Area
Dalton-in-Furness is an ancient town lying in a narrow valley on Furness Peninsula, extending deep into Morecambe Bay. Dalton was once the leading town of Furness and now boasts a good selection of shops, restaurants and pubs. There are also interesting, historical buildings in and around the market place. Visit the iconic 14th century pele tower, a place of refuge for monks, now a beautiful sandstone ruin in a wooded valley. Dalton is the perfect location for exploring the history and stunning landscapes of Cumbria.
