You can also take a short drive to Lake Windermere (8.5 miles) or Coniston Water (9 miles), where you can indulge in a variety of waterside activities such as boat trips and windsurfing lessons. For a more leisurely walk, Tarn Hows (6.5 miles) is a picturesque spot, while the majestic and rugged Langdales are just a short drive away. The village of Satterthwaite (0.5 miles) is a hidden gem in the Lake District, and its quaint village pub makes it the perfect romantic getaway.
