Gosforth is a cosy little village nestled between the mountains and the sea on the western fringe of the Lake District National Park.

It boasts four pubs, a busy village shop, a cafe and restaurant and a great network of walks. Families are well catered for with an excellent play park in the village as well, or should you wish to do some messing about on the water, then why not try your hand at stand up paddle boarding on Wastwater or kayaking down the crystal clear River Esk? Muncaster Castle makes a great family day out just 6 miles away.
