Welcoming cottage for four, situated high above the bustling village of Glenridding and located on the main bridle path up to Hellvelyn. Country pubs serving good food and local beer are found within 800 metres. Get out and explore the fells, or tackle Helvellyn right from the front door. Aira Force Waterfall is just 3 miles away, and Ullswater Steamers depart less than a mile away from the house. You can take a boat from the village, disembark at Howtown, walk to Pooley Bridge and catch the boat back to Glenridding. This was one of Wordsworth's favourite walks and offers views of Ullswater and Helvellyn. Ullswater is the second largest lake in the Lake District make the most of this incredible location with lakeside picnics and wild swimming, cycling, or hiking around the shore, as well as canoeing and boating. If you are a keen walker, cyclist, or water sports enthusiast then this is the perfect base for you! Approaching this end terrace property, the entrance is accessed via a couple of external steps. Walking into the spacious lounge with a cosy wood burner, TV and open staircase to the first floor, the room offers you a warm welcome and is a great place to relax and unwind. There is a convenient dining area at the rear of the lounge. The kitchen has a stable style door which is perfect to accommodate your four legged friends, so they can still feel part of the party after a long walk. There is a utility area off the kitchen which houses some additional appliances. Head up to the first floor and find both of the bedrooms and bathroom, each a step up from the landing. The master bedroom has some fabulous views to wake up to and an attractive brass king size bed frame. The twin bedroom to the rear of the property is next door to the family bathroom. Outside, you will find a large, enclosed, lawned garden with seating and fabulous views. The garden is accessed from the front door through a gate or from a gate via the back door.
