There's an alfresco terrace to soak in the lakeside views with barbecues. But should the weather turn, the vistas are just as impressive curled up beside the wood-burning stoves indoors, and the games room will keep little ones busy. Set in the sleepy hamlet of Watermillock, besides two traditional pubs and a watersports centre, little else is within walking distance. However, the village of Pooley Bridge, with a cluster of shops and restaurants, is just a 3-mile drive.

*There is private parking available for up to five cars and a hard standing for boats.
*While the property has five bedrooms, the maximum occupancy is eight adults, as one of the bedrooms is only suitable for a child. Some of the bedrooms have zip and link beds which can be made into singles on request.
*Two travel cots and a high chair are available for little ones on request.
*There are stairs within this home which may be unsuitable for guests with restricted mobility.
*Though the private lake shore and jetty are fenced off, children will need to be supervised at all times.
