Within 0.8 miles, you will find a shop, within 0.7 miles, a pub and a river, please note that two well-behaved pets are welcome but sorry, no smoking. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. Pod No 6 is a fabulous base from which to uncover the treasures of the Lake District. The stunning Newlands Valley is nearby, situated between Braithwaite and Buttermere, and the charming Bassenthwaite Lake is definitely worth a visit. Everything from a leisurely stroll through the countryside to a strenuous walk up Skiddaw or the renowned Catbells is available. Visit the Jennings Brewery, Mirehouse, a magnificent home and gardens on the shores of Bassenthwaite Lake, or go on a wonderful boat tour of Derwentwater.
