Local attractions include Castle Crag, the Bowder Stone (both within a mile), Honister Pass (4.5 miles), Honister Slate Mine and Surprise View (both 3.5 miles). The bustling market town of Keswick (5 miles) can be reached by road or by a cruise across Derwentwater, and is home to plenty of pubs and restaurants, as well as attractions including the Puzzling Place, Derwent Pencil Museum and the Theatre by the Lake. Stepping into this delightful property, the entrance hall has useful space for you to leave coats and muddy boots before heading into the spacious lounge/diner.
