Situated just 1 mile from the centre of Keswick, situated between Skiddaw and Derwentwater, you can walk into the town from this base. You will find a pub and a nice selection of restaurants and independent shops to explore. The Keswick Mountain Festival, which is held annually, offers three days of world class sports, lots of outdoor activities, talks, films, and live music events that take place beside the lake. If you are looking to explore the Lakes then this is the perfect base, you are just 4 miles from Cat Bells, 3 miles from Derwentwater and have Skiddaw and Latrigg on your doorstep! Mirehouse and gardens are well worth a visit on a nice day enjoy a walk down to the chapel which sits on the water s edge. As you enter the lodge into the open plan lounge/kitchen/diner you will feel relaxed and at home. There is a wood burner effect electric fire in the lounge area with Smart TV and access out onto the decking through the French doors. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, dishwasher, and washer/dryer. In the dining area, there is a small table for enjoying breakfast and a coffee and planning the day ahead. Off the kitchen, you will find the double bedroom which has views over the open countryside and ample storage as well as a dressing table and an en suite bathroom with shower over the bath and a WC. Outside, there is a small veranda to the front of the lodge which is accessed from the lounge, with a table and chairs so you can sit out and enjoy a glass of wine or just read a good book in the sunshine. There is private parking to the side of the lodge for one car.
