Approach Skiddaw (6 miles) from the north, a quieter route than the busier southern track, and summit England s fourth highest mountain for panoramic views. Treat your climb with a meal in the local pub which lies a mile from your door and is a great place to enjoy a night off from the kitchen, or travel 7 miles to the vibrant market town of Keswick where plenty of eateries and rainy day activities await.
