Holiday Rental Description

This delightful apartment is situated in Rosthwaite village at the end of the picturesque Borrowdale Valley, in the heart of the Lake District National Park World Heritage Site. The village is surrounded by mountains and is located between the River Derwent and Stonethwaite Beck. This is an ideal place to stay if you enjoy walking, with the Cumbria Way literally on the doorstep. There are lots of activities in the immediate area including fishing, rock climbing and water sports on Derwentwater (3 miles). It is a peaceful area with a great selection of shops, pubs and attractions in Keswick (6 miles) which can be reached by bus or car. There are also some great distilleries in the area and luxury spas if you fancy a day of being pampered. This charming second floor apartment is one of five apartments in Kiln How, a large Victorian house situated in the centre of Rosthwaite village. The apartment is ideal for families, or friends. Enter via the shared entrance into the hallway and find your private entrance on the first floor. There is a steep cottage style staircase to the second floor where you will enter the hallway. There are two double bedrooms which overlook the shared garden and fells and two single bedrooms which are cosy, with comfortable beds for a restful night s sleep. All of the bedrooms have restricted headspace due to the eaves. Along the hallway, you will find the open plan lounge/kitchen/dining area with stunning views from the windows. There is comfortable seating, and a Smart TV for you to log into your Netflix account to watch a movie or enjoy a series. The electric wall mounted fire will keep you warm and cosy while you tuck into hearty homemade meals at the dining table. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric hob and oven and a small fridge with a freezer compartment and microwave. At the end of the hallway, there is a bathroom with a bath, separate power shower and WC. Head outside to the front of the house to find a shared garden with seating overlooking the Borrowdale Valley and fells. There is private parking for two cars in the small private car park just 15 metres from the property, and you are able to park at the front of the house to unload your car if you wish. The farm café/shop ( seasonal opening ) are within walking distance.
