Located in easy walking distance of Keswick town centre and market square, this imposing Victorian property is a three storey, six bedroomed, Grade II listed accommodation with private off street parking for up to eight cars. This stunning house offers many original features and high quality accommodation with great social spaces for friends and family, perfect for both family annual holidays and special occasions. Keswick is situated in the north of the Lake District on the shores of Derwentwater and in the shadow of Skiddaw, England s third highest mountain range. This vibrant market town has so much to offer. There is a great choice of stunning walks for all abilities, straight from the door. While the lake offers trips on the launch, paddle boarding, row boats, wild swimming or just feeding the ducks on the water s edge. If you prefer a slower pace, Keswick offers an impressive choice of amenities including quaint shops, cute cafes, restaurants to satisfy all pockets and taste buds, a cinema, theatre, museums and a stone circle that dates back to the Neolithic era. As you approach this beautiful & substantial house, built in 1875, there is a useful lobby to store all your coats and walking boots. Then through the glass panelled doorway, you will find the spacious hallway with an impressive sweeping staircase. To the left, is the formal lounge with deep red walls, interesting artwork, smart TV and a cosy wood burner. The lovely bay window floods the room with light across the comfortable seating with a large central coffee table. Across the hallway, you find the elegant dining room, the perfect place to gather with friends and family and enjoy a celebratory dinner or simply catch up on the day s events. From there, into the stylish and well equipped kitchen, with a useful island, free standing range cooker with induction hob plus a second built in oven and dishwasher. The utility room is open plan off the kitchen featuring a large American fridge/freezer, wine cooler, washing machine, tumble dryer and a lovely large pantry style cupboard. The ground floor continues with a second & informal living & dining space, a very useful addition for large groups. This room boasts a large comfy corner sofa with reclining seats and smart TV. There is a raised breakfast area with dining table and patio doors to the outside, allowing you to enjoy a peaceful morning coffee before the fun of the day begins. Further on this floor is a family bathroom with a shower over bath, WC and basin. Finally, is a snug room with a bookcase packed with local guidebooks & maps and a futon. It also has a desk with a USB C docking station, monitor, keyboard and mouse to make 'working from Stonegarth' easy. Up the grand staircases to six large and beautiful bedrooms set over the first and second floors. All six bedrooms have televisions and their own ensuite. There is one double room and the remaining five rooms all boast king size 4 poster beds. Two of these, have ensuites with jacuzzi style baths, separate shower cubicles and TVs. The property boasts a large parking area with space for up to eight cars, which is unique for a property in central Keswick. While there s no garden, there is a choice of parks in easy reach including the beautiful Fitz Park which has so much to offer, including tennis courts, outside gym equipment, children s play area, a museum, café and plenty of space for ball games, taking a stroll or picnicking.
