Sizergh Castle and Levens Hall, with its magnificent Topiary Garden, are both close, as are limestone escarpments for easy walking that provide breathtaking views of the Lakeland Mountains, the Howgills, and Morecambe Bay. Kendal is ideally located for exploring South Lakeland, the Yorkshire Dales, and further afield. Kendal is an excellent site for a quiet stay, with nearby attractions such as Kendal Museum and the Museum of Lakeland Life, the interesting Quaker Tapestry, Lake Windermere, and the surrounding National Park.
