• "What a fabulous holiday home."

  It is a beautiful house with spectaculour views. The house is well equipped with everything you need to make your holiday a very memorable one. The rooms are fabulous and very comfortable. Our family group ranged from 4 years to 90 years and there was something for everyone to enjoy. We would love to return here in the future.

• "A perfect place to hold a family reunion or a get together with friends."

  All the rooms are well appointed with their own bathrooms. There is a well stocked games room as well as plenty of outside space. The house is within easy reach of all the shops and cafes as well as the prom. The owner leaves an extremely detailed booklet explaining all the local facilities as well as detailed map. The owner is also at the end of the phone to help.

• "Just Wow! This property is superb and was absolutely perfect for our family get together."

  We have never stayed in a holiday rental before where everything was so perfect and the owners have thought of every little detail to make it like a 'home from home' stay. No one from our party wanted to leave this beautiful home. Its also in an excellent location, shops, restaurants, coffee shops, takeaways all within easy walking distance. Finally, that view is just breath taking. We are already talking about returning. Big thank you to the owners for the lovely welcome pack, it was very much appreciated x

• "The house was fantastic, really well equipped both inside and out."

  The kitchen had everything you'd need including a thoughtful welcome pack. Having Sky sports was a real bonus for those less mobile to get to the pub to watch the football. The views from the balcony were stunning and the house was clean, comfortable and a great base to explore the surrounding area. We enjoyed it so much we booked for next year.

• "What an absolute diamond of a find!"

  This house had everything, the views, the comfort, the activities, the amenities, lots of space, clean and homely. We were a party of 13 and there was plenty of room for everyone. Big plus for me was that the kitchen had everything you needed (I really needn’t have packed the kitchen sink)!!! We baked, we cooked, we Bbq’d, we sat outside on an evening toasting marshmallows on the fire pit, played Pool, table football, chess, large connect four, table tennis, shot some hoops and had a blast on the swings, slide and trampoline. We will definitely be returning here because as well as all the above it is a great base for exploring the Lake District. Hosts were easy to communicate with and we felt very welcome.

• "It is difficult to find a property for a large group that does not require a compromise - but Victoria Mount ticked all the boxes."

  All bedrooms could be made up as twins and six had en-suite bathrooms, with the seventh bedroom having its own bathroom close by. There was plenty of space for everyone to relax in comfort and we all fitted around the dining table. I have never stayed in such a well equipped and well maintained holiday home. The setting is superb, with stunning views of the bay from indoors and outside. Communication with the owner was excellent and a thorough and detailed information pack was provided in advance. This is an outstanding property which I would recommend and would hope to return to - particularly in warmer weather to enjoy the lovely outdoor terraces and gardens. It’s hard to find fault with the place.

  The house was the best- equipped we have ever stayed in and was extremely comfortable. There were excellent instructions on how to use everything. We arranged the hot-tub hire for the week, and that all went very smoothly.

  A great location with amazing views overlooking Morecambe Bay yet close to all the local amenities. Spotlessly clean and furnished with everything you need. The owners have put a lot of care and thought into providing top quality accommodation from the underfloor heating, large en-suite showers and extremely comfortable beds to the fully equipped kitchen and utility room. So much seating available both indoors and out and a variety of indoor/outdoor activities to keep everyone entertained. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this property.

  It is very close to the village which has lots of good walks from the door, and plenty of places to eat nearby. We had a great time celebrating my birthday with family and a couple of friends with plenty of space for everyone to relax. Thanks to Celia and Jim for letting us stay in their beautiful house and we hope to go back again in the future.

  A great location in the heart of the town and close to the train station and shops, yet quiet and with magnificent views. It is extremely well equipped and perfect for children with lots of indoor and outdoor activities catered for. It is the perfect place for a large family gathering.

• "This is a wonderful property to stay in, everyone in our party fell in love with it (ages 6 to 85)and what an amazing view to wake up to each morning."

  The owners are exceptional, thanks so much for sharing your beautiful home with us. The town is pretty good too. Best butchers, chippy, cafes, Chinese, it has everything. The children loved the train ride from the local station. We were only here for the weekend but we certainly made the most of it, including having an ABBA and Queen night on our last night to celebrate my sister's 85th birthday!! This holiday home is very highly recommended by me and my family ❤️

• "This is a top class house."

  It is easily the best large house we’ve stayed in. All aspects of the house are of a very high standard and the outside spaces are very well equipped for all seasons and age groups. Our four little ones had a lovely time and made good use of the swings and slide. Amazing view to enjoy with your gin and tonic. Everything works and so well thought out to the last detail. A big thank you to the very kind and helpful owners.

• "We've been doing a family autumn holiday for 28 years and this is by far the best home we have stayed in ."

  We were 10 adults and 2 children(10 & 7) and there was plenty space for everyone. Furnished to a really high standard and equipped with everything you could think of inside and out. And what a view from the front of the house! Would definitely recommend this house and would love to go back .

• "What a splendid property!"

  In an elevated position with panoramic views across Morecambe Bay, the owners have renovated this lovely old house in a sensitive and tasteful way, retaining period features whilst incorporating quality modern equipment. We are a family group of 15, who still found it spacious with lots of facilities and a very homely atmosphere. We are happy to recommend Victoria Mount without reservation.

• "Wow what an amazing property 6 adults 6 children ages from 75 down to 4 everything for everyone, the weather was mixed so when it was wet the games room when it was dry outside so much space in and out, we didn’t hire a hot tub from the company recommended which was in the information pack that was fun for young and old (me at 75) Many Thanks to the property owners for making this available to rent."

• "We’ve just returned from a wonderful week at Victoria Mount."

  The house is amazing. Had everything we needed and more. The outside terraces and gardens are fabulous. The bedrooms are lovely and beds are super comfy. We are a party of 12 and we go away together once a year. Victoria Mount is by far the best place we have stayed in. So happy with our stay we have booked again for next year. Thank you Jim and Cecile for all the hard work you must have put in to making the house so perfect.

• "This was the most beautiful house I have ever had the pleasure of visiting, there were 13 of us ranging from aged 6 to 56 and we all had space if we needed it but could be together also when needed."

  The terraces and garden space are all the children needed, we didn't need to go anywhere else to entertain them, they were relaxed and happy all weekend. We had good clear instructions from the owners, everything was on hand and we had a lovely welcome pack the kids loved. The view from the front of the house is something out of fairytales, it was just perfect.

• "This house is as described, I could leave it at that because the description says it all but I was half expecting that not to be the case."

  I arrived before the other party members and I was delighted and then had the pleasure of watching the same reaction from each of them as they arrived. The property is finished to an exceptional standard and is indeed equipped with everything needed. I forgot to pack my hairdryer only to be told by my daughters-in-law, “There is one in each room and diffusers, people NEVER provide diffusers” The view is just as impressive. Our stay was in March so I can only imagine how beautiful the view is in the summertime. All credit to the owners on maintaining such a high standard of service delivery. Oh, and the slide was a great hit and No, there were no children in our party!

• "Victoria Mount is a fabulous house!"

  It was immaculately clean, the kitchen was extremely well equipped and had everything and more to cook a full Christmas Day lunch from scratch. The beds were extremely comfortable and the views from the house were beautiful. Everybody had their own bathroom which was a bonus. The bountiful welcome pack was a lovely touch and much appreciated! The house was decorated for Christmas with two christmas trees and garland lights around the stairs and looked so festive. It was a lovely house to spend a family Christmas in. We just wish the weather had been better but at least the house was so warm with the underfloor heating when we returned from days out dripping wet! Would highly recommend.

• "We have been holidaying with our family in 7 different properties and this stands out as the best."

  The location is excellent and the view from the house is outstanding. All rooms have an en-suite ( or dedicated bathroom) The beds are very comfortable - six super king - can be made up as singles, and one king size, also available as singles. All rooms spacious and beautifully furnished. The kitchen is fitted out with everything one could want, and all good quality. There is a games room with pool table and outside games, table tennis and much more to keep children happy and occupied - adults too. There are books and games available. Lovely to have shelves and hooks inside the main door to store shoes and coats easily. Good parking availability at the house and two electric charging points. Local shops within easy walking distance - independent and supermarkets. Excellent pies from the butcher. Lots of interesting activities to do/visit. Many within 30/40 minutes, or nearer.

• "We were a family of 10 adults and 5 children staying at Victoria Mount over the August Bank holiday weekend and the house had something for all the different age groups ranging from 1-60 plus!"

  The property was full of charm and character, everything was perfect and very well thought out. Location was good as there were shops nearby aswell as some main attractions. The house layout and gardens meant there was ample space to have time together and apart when needed. The fire pit in the evenibg was lovely and the sunrises over the sands were breathtaking. We were very sad to leave but felt fortunate to have experienced such a lovely stay at Victoria Mount!

• "We were a party of 11 people ages ranging from 11months to 75yrs The house was perfect, the layout over three floors ensured everyone had their own space with all the bedrooms en-suite ."

  The standard and quality of the fixtures and fitting was excellent, the recent refurbishment has given the house a modern feel while still retaining its character. The crockery , cutlery and kitchen appliances were in abundance , in fact , we felt that nothing was missing that we would have required. The outdoor space was superb and luckily we had great weather so most of our time was spent outdoors, the games room and the abundance of outdoor activities ensured nobody got bored. The internet was excellent , the views were stunning and we all loved the location and closeness of the town and promenade. Jim and Celia are the perfect hosts and did everything to ensure that our stay was perfect On behalf of the whole family , I would like to thank you for making it a great family weekend and one that everyone of us enjoyed.

  It was absolutely perfect for our family get together. The house is so well equipped with everything you could possibly need, and even things you wouldn’t have thought of, all beautiful quality. Ideal for large parties because there was enough crockery, cups, glasses etc that we didn’t have to put one of the two dishwashers on every five minutes. The beds and pillows were so comfortable I didn’t want to get up. But you have to because otherwise you would miss the stunning views of the Bay. I could go on and on and every sentence would contain the words “fabulous”, “excellent”. Loved it.

  It is in a great location providing fantastic views of Morecambe Bay and close to the shops and restaurants. The facilities suited all our requirements from aged 2 to 70 and provided everything we needed including wheelchair access. The property was spotless and warm with a fully equipped kitchen/dining room suitable for catering for larger numbers. The rooms were fully furnished with everything you would need. The children were kept busy and entertained with a variety of outdoor and indoor play equipment whilst the adults relaxed in one of the many comfortable seating areas. We take away many happy memories and would certainly recommend Victoria Mount to our friends.

  It is stunning in every way. Its location in Grange is perfect with wonderful views of the Bay plus the convenience of having shops etc to hand. This is the best equipped property that any of our party of 12 have ever stayed at. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable and the garden has plenty of games and play equipment for all the family. This is the perfect place for a special holiday or family celebration.

  The house is fantastic, in a beautiful location convenient to everything local. The house has been made with holidays and family in mind, allowing for excellent relaxation to be achieved when there. We loved every minute of our time there, as did the whole family.   Pretty much faultless. Family gathering for a 60th birthday and all of us accommodated no problem. Comfortable, clean and spacious. Wifi, heating, EV charging and appliances all a breeze to use. The views from the house are spectacular. Walks available for any ability. 100yards from grange centre. Just perfect.

  The house has been decorated to a high spec and the hosts have thought of everything . I particularly liked the fact that all the beds can be made into singles and each room has its own bathroom . The oven was great, the fridge /freezer a good size and there were plenty of plates and glasses. We managed to sit 14 of us easily at the dining table . The view of the estuary is simply stunning from the balcony and the front facing windows. The hosts were in regular contact and made everything very easy . This was a perfect house to celebrate my 50th Birthday and I can’t wait to return . Thanks for a great stay !

  You can see the owners have put a lot of thought in to making this house a wonderful holiday let for a large group. We were 14 for "Grandad's Alternative Christmas" and everyone was so complimentary about the property, the facilities and the superb view - even in the rain! The "icing on the cake" was the two Christmas trees and the lights on the staircases. I do not normally write reviews but I just had to share our delight with Victoria Mount.

• "We as a group were all completely satisfied with our stay at the property , the Setting and the View is amazing , the ground floor bedroom and Bathroom is set out perfectly for anyone who has a disability ,it even has a walking frame , available The kitchen and dining area has everything you need , it is fully equipped ."

  Victoria Mount is an outstanding property. It is very large but also warm, peaceful and welcoming. The house is beautifully furnished and decorated in keeping with it’s age and yet enjoys every modern convenience. The seven bedrooms, six of which are en-suite are large and very comfortable. The outdoor spaces are finished to an equally high standard and it’s possible to enjoy the stunning and ever changing views of the bay from both the balcony and patios. There’s also plenty to keep children amused with table tennis and football, swings and a slide. The owners Jim and Celia are very pleasant, kind and helpful and they go the extra mile to ensure that the guests at Victoria Mount have the best of everything. We recommend this holiday property without reservation

  The bedrooms are gorgeous and three have stunning views of the bay. It is great that they have kept, and enhanced the original features of this lovely Victorian home. The owners are lovely and were really helpful in their advice to us. We often go on holiday as a family and can honestly say this was the best house we have rented.
