Tucked just outside the Lake District National Park, this house in Grange-over-Sands is a brilliant base for an outdoorsy break. Once a fashionable 19th-century resort, the town retains plenty of period charm, which you’ll see as you stroll along its seafront promenade. And if you’re after something more adventurous, there’s lots to do in the Lake District – from hill walking to watersports. However you spend your days, coming home to this house is a real treat. There’s a hot tub for tired legs, a modern kitchen for warming meals, and a patio that offers panoramic views over Morecambe Bay.
Home truths: *While some of the bathrooms aren't photographed, expect the style and quality to be consistent with the rest of the home.
*The house is set over multiple floors, so you'll need to be able to climb stairs here. There are also steps from the patio down to the lawn. It might not be the best option for those with reduced mobility.
*All of the king-size beds here can be set up as two singles on request – speak to your host in advance if you have a preference.
*If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot and high chair for free. You'll need to request them in advance.
*While the town has good bus and train links, we recommend hiring a car to explore more easily. An electric vehicle charger is available.
*Hen and stag parties are strictly not allowed at this home.
