The annex was nice and warm but beds really need replacing as mattress springs very uncomfortable and chairs to sit on not good the settee was old and very low and very uncomfortable to sit on and the chairs modern but tip forwards when you sit on them.. They are not suitably for people with disability’s even though there is a ramp for easy access the owners very helpfull

Pea Top Cottage is lovely, uncluttered and spotlessly clean with everything you could want and handy little garden for the dogs and to relax in the sun.. The cottage is modern and tastefully furnished, plenty of hot water and everything well maintained. Easily accessible off road parking too, Pea Top ticked all the boxes for us. The owners are helpful and friendly without being intrusive and it was a pleasant place to relax after a day of sightseeing. There’s loads to do and explore in the area and Culgaith is a pretty, quiet village with lovely walks. Nearby Lowther Castle was stunning, we enjoyed our visit, I would highly recommend Pea Top Cottage and hope to visit again.

Joanna and David were very helpful and especially good with my 12 year old grandson.. The village is very quiet but near enough to Penrith. The Black Horse pub in the village is very welcoming and serves excellent food. If we are around the area again we would stay here again. The cottage itself is only small but has everything you need and was very clean. We enjoyed our holiday in the area.

Lovely cottage, situated in the quiet little village of Culgaith.. Offers a peaceful place to relax, nice food in the local hotel, and a good coffee shop with homebaking nearby. Proximity to the M6 sets it up as a good base for visiting the Lakes, Hadrian’s wall, and an hour or so away, the Yorkshire Dales. Our hosts were friendly and welcoming, provided us with extras, and were knowledgeable about the local area which was helpful. Would happily return.
