Only 200 metres from the sailing club and Bassenthwaite Lake Station where you can enjoy a cream tea on board the Orient Express train or a murder mystery evening! The Lakes Distillery is less than a mile away and offers tours and has a lovely bistro to enjoy a spot of lunch. Walkers and cyclists are spoilt with some brilliant bike tracks in Whinlatter Forest which is 8 miles away and there are some fabulous walks from your door: explore Sale Fell by walking from the cottage, directly in front of the main house or Dubwath Silver Meadows Nature Reserve opposite Bassenthwaite Lake Station.
