Outside there is an enclosed rear garden with lawn, patio and furniture, a garage with a washing machine and games room activities and parking for two cars. Within 1.2 miles you will find a shop, and within 0.5miles, a pub. Please note two well-behaved dogs are welcome and that this is a non-smoking property. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. Brackenlea is an idyllic base to explore the picturesque surroundings of Cumbria. Note: There are steps up to the property. Check-in is from 4pm, check-out by 10am.

To ensure the high standards of the garden are maintained, a gardener will attend every Tuesday.

The Old Laundry theatre and the Beatrix Potter World attraction are separated by 1.5 kilometres. It takes 30 minutes to walk to Orrest Head to take in the breathtaking vista of far-reaching views over the lake and nearby fells, which served as the inspiration for Alfred Wainwright to create his series of renowned guidebooks. The historic villages of Grasmere, Ambleside, and Troutbeck are only a short drive away, as is Brockhole, which provides high wire tree top experiences. For those with greater energy, marine centres near the lake offer a range of watersports. With easy access to attractions like the stunning Langdales, Beatrix Potter's Hill Top House at Far Sawrey, Coniston, Grizedale Forest Park with its delightful walks and famous outdoor sculptures, mountain biking and "Go-Ape" adventure park, Ullswater, Kendal, Keswick, stone circles, Roman forts, and England's highest mountain, Scafell Pike, the area is perfectly situated for exploring everything this region has to offer.
