Bassenthwaite Lake and Keswick are both an easy drive away, offering excellent hiking trails and scenic strolls by the water. If you're craving a day by the sea, you'll find the Solway Coast AONB within easy reach, too. After your adventures, nothing beats curling up in front of the fire with a glass of wine. Come summer, enjoy your tipple on the small patio. The space indoors is cosy and rustic (albeit a smidge dated), but it's a fuss-free base for outdoor adventures.

*Two well-behaved dogs are welcome to join you upon request.
*You'll need a car in this location. There's ample parking available here.
*One bedroom is on the first level, the other is on the lower-ground floor.
*Some of the decor here is a little dated – particularly the bathrooms. The patio is also not the most scenic. We think it's best for those planning to spend most of their time out and about.
