Standing proudly at the heart of South Walney Nature Reserve, quietly watching over the wildlife that calls this stunning landscape home, this beautiful lighthouse really is the perfect escape. With four bedrooms stretched across the main cottage and the single-level annexe, there’s space for all the family to enjoy the beauty of their surroundings in an elegant, welcoming home. Settle down in your living room, take a peek through your binoculars and relish the wildlife that’s brought into focus. This area is a haven for a diverse range of birds, and at high tide, you may even be lucky enough to spot a grey seal frolicking in the ocean. It’s easy to pass countless hours completely lost in the nature that surrounds you, particularly in winter months with the wood burner warming you and casting an amber glow across the room for added cosiness. With peace, quiet, and views that you’ll never tire of, is there anywhere else you’d rather be? If the call of the wild is too strong to ignore, pull on your hiking boots and walk the various trails across the dunes to immerse yourself in nature further. After an exhilarating day in the great outdoors, return home to your little slice of tranquillity to enjoy a delicious dinner with loved ones. With memories being created every second you’re in this home, you may find you never want to leave.

About The Lake District
Poets and novelists have often escaped to the Lake District for a spot of inspiration. Famously, Wordsworth pondered about daffodils and clouds during his time here. The undulating hills are tracked with drystone walls while sheep graze, and farmsteads enjoy untouched beauty for miles around. England’s biggest lake, Windermere, cuts through a valley, sleek as glass and hosts a litany of cosy-pub-filled towns and water sports venues along its shores....
